As the previous partner of The Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena, Nathaniel’s leadership and hospitality acumen is widely admired. Under his leadership, the restaurant received a three Michelin Star rating in the acclaimed Michelin Restaurants Guide in 2010 and the Outstanding Service Award from the James Beard Foundation in 2014. Partnering with Bill Harlan and Christopher Kostow in 2016, Nathaniel opened The Charter Oak Restaurant which was awarded “Best New Restaurant of 2016” by Esquire Magazine.

After fourteen years in the Napa Valley, Nathaniel transitioned his career and launched Amulet Estate Winery. Amulet Estate is an understated, yet elegant winery estate located in the heart of Napa Valley on a legacy vineyard site within the northeastern corner of the St. Helena appellation, focused upon a single vineyard portfolio of traditional Cabernet Sauvignon wines from historic vineyards and heritage properties, with the hopes of telling the historied past and furture of the Napa Valley.

Amulet Estate has intentionally evolved into a gathering place, that reflects both our family values and the best of Napa Valley. Two pillars of our history: family and an unwavering dedication to our craft, remain deeply rooted traditions and continue to transcend the philosophy of our winery.
