Carefully selecting the finest barrels from our single vineyard sites, Amulet Estate Proprietary Red is blended with focus on purity, finesse and a proprietary texture.
There’s a deep purple hue that extends to the edge of the glass. Vibrant, pure aromas of red cherry, dried sage, violets, and freshly tilled earth fill the glass. The wine is soft on the palate with flavors of crushed raspberry, dried blueberry, cocoa powder and black tea. A distinct note of minerality is evident, along with the fine textured, mouth-filling tannins that linger through the finish.

Winemaker's Notes | 2017 is inky dark purple in the glass with aromas of blueberry, star anise, warm licorice, and petrichor. The palette is soft and welcoming with layers of ripe red plum, black cherry, grated nutmeg, and a rich cocoa-powder texture. Fine tannins pull the wine across the palate creating a wet stone sensation that balances acidity and culminates in a long, elegant finish.

Winemaker's Notes | In the glass, generous aromas of dried lavender and red currant float upward. Flavors of freshly tilled soil, blueberry preserve, and graphite surround a core of tannins that extends through the palette. Warm plum and cigar box linger pleasantly on the finish.

Winemaker's Notes | A Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, the 2015 Proprietary Red is very deep purple-black in color with a mocha, cedar and toast-scented nose over a core of baked plums, black currant cordial, dark chocolate and spice box notions. Medium to full-bodied and with a very firm, taut and muscular palate, it offers savory notions on the finish.

Winemaker's Notes | The grapes for this wine are grown primarily from our estate vineyard in St. Helena, with the balance from the Blossom Creek vineyard in Calistoga. The blend is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance (17%) of the cuvee being Merlot.
